This morning’s ride started off with cloudy skies and the great fortune of none of the forecast rain. A hearty group of 11 cyclists headed out of town in two groups with the joys of London Road dip to prepare for the roads ahead.
Waiting at the top of the hill was Jon Thorne and further on in Pytchley we found Sue to create the 3 socially distanced groups that headed through Little Harrowden and Mears Ashby before enjoying going down the hill through Earls Barton. The route then took us out towards Harold before crossing over the A6 and turning towards Riseley where we stopped to refuel at the Giddy Goat Cafe.
We then headed back through the lovely countryside around Raunds and Ringstead before we all peeled off in varying directions homeward. After a couple of absent weeks it was great to get back to the club ride group and enjoy riding the lanes of Northamptonshire once again.
