A big thanks to them, as without them the event would not be able to go ahead.

Road works delay the counting event for a week
With Anglian Water performing pipe work on the junction of Faxhall / Lamport / Harrington with 3 way traffic lights so the schedule two laps of the Old 9.4 course which was also a counting event for the Ladies and Junior has been rescheduled for next week. Instead we did the Flags to Old Sprint 3.8m TT course. Something that requires a different effort.
Very popular for the juniors and a good opportunity to see how they tackled the downhill from Lamport to Old, and some impressive positions held by them, see photos, especially impressed by the aero position of Eddie on his TT bike, maintaining aero on the bars throughout the decent. He wasn’t alone, I was really taken back by the confidence these young riders displayed, well done Lucas, Eddie, Jake and Evan.
The results
With a full line up of KCC riders, it was Chris Old taking the win with 08:05, with a clear minute over second placed youngster Eddie Hennah 09:09 and taking third was Ian Bird with 09:45 just one second in it between him and Lucas Buksh 09:46, those aero bars were worth the investment Ian :).
We hope to see you all next week at Old for the rescheduled 18.8 counting event … Ladies and Juniors hope to see you there.
Well done everyone. Thank you all for participating and making this a successful event for the organisers.
