Time Keeper: Jon Thorne
Marshals: Roger Reed and Marcus Buksh
A big thanks to them, as without them the event would not be able to go ahead.
This race was our 25m TT Championship event as well as a counting event for the Ladies and Junior League Champtionships.
Congratulations
Chris Old takes the 25m TT Championship Trophy for 2021. Lucas takes the 15 points for the Junior winner.
Two duels
You’ve got to be in it to win it…. with just four riders participating it became a duel between Chirs Old (KCC) and Warren Drew (Rapha CC) on TT bikes both well matched. At the 15.6m split time, Warren was just 2 seconds ahead of Chris with 38:38 against 38:40, however it was all down to the determination and who maintained the effort pushing against the warm atmosphere, it was Warren who pulled away and took the overall win with 1:02:02, with Chris pushing over the finish 1:02:25.
Warren gave Chris a great duel, and Chris takes the 25m TT Championship Trophy for KCC riders.
The duel was mirrored by Lucas Buksh and Drew Kimbell (both KCC) on road bikes, they were also well matched and at the 15.6m split time, they were equally as close as they passed the timekeeper, Lucas with 47:40 and Drew with 47:21. With a rider to chase, Drew continued to push and with Lucas in sight, gave an impressive second lap to be just meters behind Lucas at the finish. Drew took KCC second with 1:15:47, and Lucas, third, riding his first ever 25m TT gave himself a super first ever time of 1:16:40, a PB he’ll set himself to beat in the future.
Lucas being the only junior in the event, takes the win in our Junior League and 15 points. No Ladies entered.
If I get anyones name, club or more importantly time incorrect please let me know. Apologies in advance. Well done everyone.
KCC & Guest Results. As there are only a handfull of riders, I’ve combined into the one table this week. Use the arrows to sort columns.
