Grafton Underwood 13.2miles TT
25th April 2019
The final Grafton Underwood 13.2-mile TT of the season took place on 25th April, with ten riders in contention. With similar to the first visit earlier in the month, a strong south-easterly breeze pushed competitors along the B6116 and similarly hindered them over the Brigstock bumps. Martin Keable was fastest on the night, in 33:15. Second place fell to a rider returning to the club after a couple of years away, Darren Cope, in 34:18. Finishing off the top three was Jon Osbourne, a relatively new member of KCC. Jon showed a wise approach in his first attempt on the hilly, sporting course with 35:02. Fastest lady was Bethany Spencer in 38:31 and top road bike was Gary Carter in 37:28. Personal Best times tumbled for Charlie Stockham by 55 seconds and Marcus Buksh by 63 seconds, great efforts by both riders. The club evening TT series now moves on to the Lamport 10 mile course on 2nd May..
Thank you to the timekeepers and marshals.
