Broughton 10TT

The KCC Time Trial series continued on 14th April in near freezing temperatures at Broughton. The 08:00 start is always a cold one at this time of year. The course begins on the A43 Broughton bypass and continues West towards Northampton. A straightforward turn after 5 miles to return shortly past the start point defines this as the flattest route in the club calendar. The road surface, however, doesn’t lend itself to fast times. Tony Brown was fastest in 22:50, with Mike Cope second (24:45) and Chris Old in third with 25:30. Sue Rust led the ladies in 26:35. Fastest road bike was Chris Barber in 26:28.
