For Sunday 27th February the club run took the opportunity to present the charity Johnny’s happy place with £150 from the proceeds of the presentation dinner raffle.
This small local community interest company seeks to reduce the stigma around mental health issues and is open to everyone.
As well as a café that offers a welcoming and safe environment for people who are going through a rough time, they have a fareshare food table, counselling, an art workshop and a creative writing workshop. They are open Saturdays 10am – 2pm and Sundays 11am – 2pm.

Compact chain sets are “so last year” or that is what you would’ve thought if you had turned up for the last club run in February, Scott and Jake both arrived with single chain rings and neither looked particularly challenged by the undulating 45 mile route.
Despite the strong headwind on the way out Ondrej clearly didn’t want to be left out of this exclusive club and unexpectedly removed his front mech at Islip.
The ride continued on sunny lanes through Titchmarsh, Clopton, Old Weston, Brington and Codington before taking advantage of the strong breeze on their backs to push them through Hargrave, Raunds and onto the coffee stop at Woodford mill.
Suitably refreshed the riders headed home through Great Addington, Cranford and back into Kettering
