Old 25 miles
The start is just outside of the village of Mawsley by the wide verge, you will see the timekeepers. Please keep well in to the side, this can be a busy road.
The finish is on entering the village of Old, just on the climb into the village by the allotments as our 9.4m finish NC15.
From the start, continue past Mawsley onto Foxhall, passing Foxhall cottages onto the T junction. Turn left (marshal) at the junction with the B756 towards Lamport (along the air field straight). Turn left at Manor farm on entering Lamport back towards Old, continue through the downhill sweeping ‘s’ bend and continue passing the Scaldwell turn (on the right, watch for cars turning out in front of you) and continue through the sweeping bends and up the hill to Old, you’ll pass the finishing line on that uphill section into the village, you are now on your first lap of the NC15 course.
Proceed into Old where turn left at the large junction opposite the White Horse Pub continue to pass Village Hall and bear right up the hill out of Old. Proceed to the junction with the Mawsley/Foxhall/Broughton road and turn left (with care) (marshal) and proceed passing Mawsley onto Foxhall, passing Foxhall Cottages up to the T junction. Turn left (marshal) at the junction with the B756 towards Lamport (along the air field straight). Turn left at Manor farm on entering Lamport back towards Old, continue through the downhill sweeping ‘s’ bend and continue passing the Scaldwell turn (on the right, watch for cars turning out in front of you) and continue through the sweeping bends and up the hill to start your second lap.
Repeat the route and this will be the third time you climb into Old, this is the third time you’ll be passing the finishing board. This time to FINISH. So proceed up the hill to the finishing board and timekeepers. Call your number out at this point, as you pass.
Remember to call out your number as you pass the finishing sign.
