I’m pleased to announce the return of the Club Rides.

Keeping you safe

Noting that Covid19 is still about we are taking measures to keep you safe, as much as we can, which is why we are asking you ALL to register if you are coming so we can put you all into maximum groups of six. Restricting the group numbers is for your safety and don’t worry if you are number 7 we will still split the groups as evenly as possible so it would be good if you can all have the route downloaded if possible.

The route

I will put a route on here and it’ll be on the event page in the calendar (the link is below), which we will also share on Facebook approximately three days before the ride.

The aim is to keep to 2m distancing where possible which can be reduced according to British Cycling as long as there is no face to face contact.

On route, please keep to your allocated groups, remember, we can swap groups around at the coffee stop or when we stop at the roadside for refuelling or in the unlikely event of punctures.

Stopping for cake

For those that look forward to the usual cake stop and exploring the superb array of cafés and farm shops we have discovered. We will aim to stop at a coffee shop but if the designated stop happens to be busy or everyone feels uncomfortable stopping then we will ride on so please bring enough nourishment for the entire ride as we would possibly stop for roadside refuelling.

Stay safe, stay away

And finally and probably most importantly DON’T COME IF YOU FEEL UNWELL but if you can let me know that would be appreciated. Send me a text on 07709 439 998 or messenger or email. It just saves us from waiting for you.

Details on our event calendar

Our first ride is on Sunday 26 the July 2020, please ensure you read and follow the registration details on the event calendar. The route will also be published here. Registration is also here and a link to the Sign up Genius website which we are using.

Please remember to wear your club jersey

A bit special

This first club ride back is a bit special to me as not only is it the first in what feels like a long while but it is also the last before I get married so you are welcome to join for a social distancing cake at Naseby Vicarage on the lawn.

If you’re not riding with us and want to join me for cake, you are also welcome… we can estimate an eta time, just let me know you are coming by text so I can sort out numbers with them please.

I look forward to seeing you all.

Thank you

Ian
