Training and Intermediate ride with Andy

For Easter Sunday 2022, we have a plan for people to do the normal length of ride or, for those who want to stay out a bit longer, there’s a second loop.

The route for the morning (the north loop, which is around 56 miles) starts as usual at Sainsbury’s at 9am (looks chilly but not icy) heads out east via Warkton and heading towards the Giddings, before turning North and coming back through Fotheringay and a coffee stop in Oundle (exact location subject to how busy it is). Then we’ll head back to Kettering with the afternoon group branching off to Woodford whilst the morning only riders will retrace their route from the Thrapston roundabout to Kettering.

The route for those who want to stay out longer and enjoy the sunshine (albeit not the warmth), will take us south and then east through Raunds to the Deans before crossing the A14 a couple of times and heading home through the Addingtons.

Everyone is welcome – just stick to some basic principles of group riding: obey the traffic laws, ride no more than two abreast, never overlap wheels with the person in front and consider other road users.

TRAINING: FAST 18mph+ / INTERMEDIATE 16-17mph:
