Thank you for your interest in becoming a member of Kettering Cycling Club.
Membership costs are £15 per year for adults, £6 per year for juniors (under 18) and £20 for family (2 adults, 2 junior).
You can become a member in one of two ways; either fill in the membership form (see below) and send with a cheque to Markus Buksh, 23 Linden Road, Nothampton, NN3 2JJ.
Send the filled in membership form by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org. You will be e-mailed a reply with a payment request (allow a few days). The club uses an online payment system (PaySubsOnline) and you will be able to pay annual subs electronically.
Obviously we can't make you join, but we think the following are compelling reasons to do so:-
The club promotes the healthy sport of cycling locally and runs over 80 events per year, the income from membership fees help the club to fulfil this function.
Kettering Cycling Club is an affiliated member of British Cycling, CTT, CTC, N&DCA, NCRA, British Schools CA, Milton Keynes CA thus providing a gateway into competitive time trialling/road racing/cyclo-cross. You cannot ride in some events without being a member of a cycling club.
Reduced entry fees for club events - if you ride often enough this alone will save you money.
Extensive kids activities, getting the kids healthy and away from the TV and computer games.
Assuming you have a reasonable bike it is much cheaper than a gym membership.
Monthly club magazine.
The more members we have the more scope there is for social activities (club nights, walks, trips to track events, trips abroad).
Cycling club membership often allows for discounts in bike shops.
To make joining even more worthwhile, if you join after August 1st in any year membership for the next year is free.

Added to the Club Membership form above the signatory line are the words - I understand that I will from time to time be expected to provide help at club events - this is not a statement to be feared, the club will not ask anyone to do anything they are not capable of or without providing any support. Without helpers, the club quite simply cannot run events.
