Central CX Update - Rounds 6,7 & 9

Central CX Round 6,7,9 (8 Cancelled)

Round 6 - Kingston Wheelers Cross

Dominic Bell, Charlie C, Eddie and Tasmin made the long journey to Heathrow - central league - hoping to take advantage of the distance to gain good positions.
The bet paid off and Charlie came 4th and Dominic came 8th! Tasmin came 4th.
Eddie came 6th!
Olly a cyclone dad had his first go at the Novice race and loved it.

Round 8 - Icknield RC Shuttleworth Cross

Today's race was at Biggleswade and despite the sunny weather it was freezing due to the icy wind.
Cyclones did well.
Jake came 4th (U10's) and Tasmin came 4th (U10's). Tas was v pleased as she beat the girl she is battling with and is now 3rd in the league.
Amelia came 4th in (U12's). Like Tas has hard competition from
Hillingdon Slipstreamers team who dominated the girls races.
Eddie had a great race today and came 26th U12's.
Charlie C came 11th and Dominic came 12th U14's.
Josh Brown came 4th, Will Deely 13th and Charlie Stockham 14th U16's.
Ian Bird competed in the Novice race and Andrew Brown and Jamie Stockham were representing the adults.

Round 9 - RAF Halton Cross

On what a commisare called 'the most technical race he'd seen so far this season', Cyclones had a great day at RAF Halton, backed by marching band and frost.

Jake zoomed round the Under 10s course, flying down steps and speed bumps to a spectacular third.

Eddie whizzed round the Under 12s course, skidding down stairs to an amazing 11th.

Battling sand, kerbs, gravel and each other, our under 14s and 16s had a heated race (despite the frost). Charlie Crabtree had an awesome race coming an excellent 9th. Dominic raced hard to attain an incredible 11.
Todays only under 16 Cyclone Josh had a disappointing race due to a nasty mechanical, and still carried on with strength and determination and managed to regain time to sprint ahead of Dominic in the finishing straight

Lastly, Olly and Andy also raced well - the 6 and a half tonnes of sand demonstrated in these photos of Andy.

Congratulations to everybody who raced today's technical and demanding course, you did amazingly!
Also, congratulations to all our Cyclones who raced at Leicester Today, back together at MK next week?

(It should be noted that Francescha who wrote this update was positioned at the most leg sapping part of the course a gravel trap and cheered louder than anyone, Thanks amazing support)
